As a Mayor, Council and staff, we found a need to be filled. So with that came the implementation of, The Park Bench. It is a center for our community members that are 55 and older.
The hours will be the same as the City Office: Monday through Friday from 9:00 A.M. - 3:00 P.M.
Those wanting to participate will fill out a basic information form and pay $5 for a key card that will give them access to come and go.
Throughout the month we will have planned activities that you can choose to participate in.
Every Thursday (with the exception of holidays) we will have a planned activity and lunch.
The lunch will cost $5 and you can bring a container to take your leftovers home in.
By way of an RSVP, you will sign up the week prior so that we can have a count for food for the following week.
We will be accepting contributions: Non perishable food for our Seniors food pantry. (This will be accessible on Thursdays), craft items, sewing items, games, puzzles as well as cash donations are welcome. All cash donations go into The Park Bench budget.
Mission Statement: Where we gather to visit, listen, watch, learn, teach, create, and have a sense of belonging. Remember you always have a seat at our bench.
