PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of a City Council Vacancy in Richmond, Utah. Any person interested in serving as a City Council Member and meeting the following eligibility and residency requirements is hereby invited to complete an application. The appointed Council Member will serve for two years with a term ending on December 31, 2025.
Eligibility and Residency Requirements:
1) Candidates must be a United States citizen at time of filing for candidacy.
2) Candidates must be at least (18) years of age at the time of the appointment.
3) Candidates must be a legal resident of the municipality for (12) consecutive months immediately preceding the date of appointment.
4) Candidate must be a registered voter of the municipality.
Pursuant to Utah Constitution Article IV, Section 6, any mentally incompetent person, any person convicted of a felony, or any person convicted of treason or a crime against the elective franchise may not hold office in this state until the right to vote or hold elective office is restored as provided by statute.

Public Meetings Notice:
Meeting for Interviews: The City Council will hold a regular council meeting on Thursday, January 18, 2024 starting at 7:00 P.M. to interview and select the candidate. This meeting will be held at the Park Community Center, 90 S 100 W, Richmond, Utah. Interviews will be done in person and electronic interviews will not be considered.
